Peanut butter chocolate bars (a.k.a. forget Reese's)

In the public school lunchrooms of my Ohio childhood, right near the register sat a basket full of Saran-wrapped "peanut butter bars," a tame name for what was essentially a Reese's peanut butter cup on steroids: a layer of crackly chocolate, thin or thick depending on the mood of the maker, topping a blend of butter, peanut butter, and sugar.
